I. Details
of the event/activity
On June 1, 2024, I took the
initiative to enroll in an online course titled "Build a Full Website
using WordPress" offered on Coursera. The course aimed to provide
comprehensive guidance on creating a complete website leveraging the WordPress
platform.
II.
Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)
Before I started
the course, I was really looking forward to gaining some hands-on skills in
WordPress website development. I wanted to understand how websites are
structured, learn about all the customization options available, and figure out
how to add cool features like plugins and themes. Plus, I was hoping to pick up
some tips on making websites look great and run smoothly for users.
III.
Reflections on possibilities of implementing some of the webinar input on a
practical level (practical application of learning)
Reflecting on how to
practically apply what I've learned about WordPress; I see several
opportunities. Firstly, I can use my newfound understanding of website
structure and customization options to create visually appealing and functional
websites for clients or personal projects. Secondly, integrating various
features such as plugins and themes can enhance the functionality and aesthetics
of websites, improving user experience. Thirdly, implementing best practices
for website design and optimization, such as responsive design and SEO
techniques, can help ensure that websites perform well and attract visitors.
Overall, by applying these principles and techniques in WordPress development,
I can create high-quality websites that meet the needs of users and achieve
desired outcomes.
