Course Title: Power of Design

Details of the event/activity
On December 4, 2023, a
captivating and educational event unfolded at Lyceum Subic Bay, organized by
their CCS Department as part of their acquaintance day, where external
participants were welcomed. Despite being students, the speakers showcased
impressive knowledge in their respective subjects. Notably, one speaker gained
renown for their creativity in digital design. This occasion holds a special
place in my memory, particularly as it marked my inaugural visit to Lyceum
Subic Bay school.
II.
Reflections on the webinar/activity give rise to (learnings)
The event proved to be
both informative and entertaining, with the speaker infusing humor into the
proceedings and conducting a demonstration on the power of design. During the
presentation, participants were guided through the intricacies of color
combination, font style selection, the principles of color psychology, and the
art of creating effective posters. The seminar imparted a wealth of knowledge,
and overall, it was a highly beneficial and enjoyable experience.
III.
Reflections on possibilities of implementing some of the webinar input on a
practical level (practical application of learning)
As a student in the IT
field, this event serves as a catalyst for enhancing our creativity in digital
poster design.
The
guidance received during the seminar has steered me towards the prospect of
becoming a designer in the IT industry.
IV. Positive Feedback (on the event organization)
The school, along with
the event organizers, extended a warm welcome to us as external participants.
The presentations delivered by the speakers were not only informative but also
concise, ensuring that the audience remained engaged throughout.
Notably,
the organizers thoughtfully provided refreshments in the form of food and
water, enhancing the overall experience of the presentation. This hospitality
and consideration from both the school and the event organizers contributed to
a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.
V.
Suggestions for improvements to be made/considered for future activities
Regarding
potential improvements, I'd like to suggest that they make their presentation
longer as the participants were left hanging for more (positive way).
